EILEEN OLGA GUDZIUNAS (nee STEFANYSHYN) It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen Olga Gudziunas on December 31, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 76 years. Eileen was born April 12, 1931. She was the daughter of Michael and Anne Stefanyshyn. She was predeceased by her parents. Eileen is survived by two children, Chris (Barb) and Terry Gudziunas of Winnipeg, her sister Sandra Stefanyshyn of Mississauga, Ontario and several grandchildren Jordan, Connor, and Emma. Eileen worked for many years at Revenue Canada. Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West. Funeral mass will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 100 Yale Ave. East in Transcona, where she was a member. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made in Eileen's name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Eileen, Christina, Ruth and I worked together at Revenue Canada in the mail room. Boy did we have lots of fun working together. I really miss you Eileen and all the great conversations that we had together. My sister-in-law Beverley (Goulet) Girouard knows Barb, Chris's wife. It was too bad, that I couldn't go to the funeral as I was in the city at the time, but my mother had fallen down and had fractured her hip and was in the Victoria Hospital.
