Tonight the stars are gleaming on a lonely silent grave Where sleeps in dreamless slumber the one we loved But could not save in tears We saw you sinking, we watched you fade away Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay But when I saw you sleeping, so peacefully free from pain I could not wish you back to suffer that again.
