VERNA GRACE LAZENBY (DUNFORD, WESTGATE) (nee NIXON) The family of Verna Grace Dunford is sad to announce her passing on January 20, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 87. Our mother and grandmother was born, on the farm, in Saskatchewan on October 1, 1920. The youngest daughter of James Thomas and Edith Nixon (Rowland). She is survived by her sons Darwin Dunford, Barry Dunford and Bill Westgate; daughters-in-law Susan Cosens and Lynne Dunford; grandchildren Aynsley Dunford-Verrill (Stephen), Colleen Dunford, Andrew Dunford and Emily Dunford; a sister Florence McLay of Keewatin, Ontario and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. A celebration of Verna's life will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Highway.
