ROSE LEVINE (nee SPIGELMAN) Peacefully, at her home, on Thursday January 31, 2008, age 92. Beloved wife of the late Max Levine. Devoted daughter of Sarah and Victor Spigelman and sister of Tina, Katie, Anne, Max and Pearlie, and their families. Loving and supportive mother of Barbara Greenberg and Marsha Cohen, proud and cherished grandmother of Lisa, Lori and Michael, Joshua and Matthew, and their families. We wish to acknowledge the loving kindness of Mildred and Percy Devins, her niece and nephew. Rosie regaled us with stories of her colourful life, and led by example in creating a loving home with Max. A strong and independent woman, she was a wonderful homemaker, cook and baker. She made her last batch of scones the day before she died. Other passions included a love of all cards, particularly a winning bridge career, and her beloved Blue Bombers. We will all miss her deeply. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, Main St. at Armstrong, enter Gate 3, Section G.
