FLORENCE LAMBERT (nee JOHNSON) Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister-in-law passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2008, at Extendicare/Tuxedo Villa with family by her side. Florence will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her four daughters, Sharon (Lloyd), Denise, Janet (Bob), Donna (Gord); son Wayne (Sandy); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; in-laws; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Keith and son-in-law Don. The daughter of Clyde and Sara Johnson, Florence spent many happy times with her sister and brothers on the farm in Saskatchewan. She came to Winnipeg at age 16, married James Smith during the war and began her family. Widowed early she remarried in the 50s to Howard Lambert. She worked at many jobs to support her family, the last and longest being at the Municipal hospitals. Flo was a kind, gentle and sweet lady who was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed spending time traveling with her family, developing her artistic talents, and bowling. Flo also challenged herself with word, puzzle and card games. She was an inspiration and brought a smile to all those who knew her. In keeping with Flo's wishes no formal funeral service will be held. A family memorial service will be held in the summer. Flo will be sadly missed by her friends and extended family at Tuxedo Villa. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Tuxedo Villa for the many years of devoted care they gave our mother. The family appreciated the care and compassion that management and staff provided to us. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Flo's memory to a charity of your choice. To Those I Love And Those Who Love Me When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must; Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come, Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, Welcome home. Author Unknown
