Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD COX October 10, 1931 February 15, 2008 It is with sorrow and celebration of his life that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Harold Cox, on February 15, 2008 at the Gimli Community Health Centre with his loving wife Audrey at his side. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Audrey; his daughter Lana (Dennis); son Perry (Darlene) and granddaughters, Ashley, Kacy, Serena and Whitney Bobrovich. He is also survived by his step-children, Claudine (Jeff), Kevin, Keith, and step-grandchildren, Justin, Troy and Samantha. He also leaves to mourn his sister Carmen, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Mildred; sister Phyllis and brothers, Andrew and Eddie and Jeanne and Wilma. Harold was born and raised in Quebec, moving to Gimli in 1975. He was employed by C.N. and spent five years working for Canac in the Ivory Coast. He retired in 1986 and spent many joyful hours golfing, curling and playing cards with his buddies. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Gimli Legion Branch 182. He was a proud Irishman and let it be known to one and all! Harold will be remembered for his laughter and love of life. He always had a positive outlook and a deep faith and trust in the Lord. Prayers will be said on Monday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli with Fr. Art Seaman officiating. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli with Fr. Wayne Morrisey officiating. Interment will follow in the Gimli Community Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Benshaban and the caring staff at the Gimli Hospital, as well as a big thank you to Paul and Elaine for their loving support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harold's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
