FELICIDAD ALIBANGO (PAGUNSAN)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFELICIDAD ALIBANGO (nee PAGUNSAN) On February 11, 2008, Felicidad Alibango passed away peacefully in her sleep with her granddaughter Joan by her side. Felicidad was born in Iloilo City, Philippines, on January 9, 1918, to Dionisio Pagunsan and Juana Macavinta. After high school, she took her Teacher's Certificate at Iloilo Normal School under the instructions of the U. S. Peace Corp Volunteers and taught primary grade. She lived her life as a devoted wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jose S. Alibango, her sister Angelina and brother Rodrigo (Lucia). She leaves to mourn her brothers Ceferino (Soledad) Teodoro (Alicia) sister Remedios (Protacio) Elangos and all her nieces and nephews in the Philippines. She will be dearly missed by her children Neri (Norma), Heide, Vilma (Lorenzo) Davila, Alma (Val) Espino and Rene (Merlyn) as well as her grandchildren May, Joan, Lovil (Rose), Jay (Michelle), Clint, Jonathan, Lauren Joy, Christie Gale (Rommel), Christian, Alva Joyce, Joseph, John Patrick and Kate Ashley and her great- grandchildren Khayla and Isaac, her nieces Dina Pagunsan and Anna Barrett (Neal), relatives the Guanzon and Pagunsan families and friends the Aarons, Providos, Hubines, Almontes, Tormons, Nemys, Marina Parrenas and family and Efie Villanueva. She was very proud of her family and showed great admiration towards every member and cherished each of them in a different but loving way. Her character reflected on her strong faith and kind hearted nature towards everyone she knew. Her smile and vivid laughter made everyone in the room feel enlightened. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Felicidad was an avid gardener and loved to sew. She also enjoyed watching others play mahjong and watching the news and sports like boxing and basketball on T.V. The family would like to thank Dr.Craig Hildahl, Dr. L. Robert Kroeker, Fr. Dado Parrenas, Fr. Vic Tongol, and Voyage Funeral Home and to all who included us in their prayers, offered their condolences and sent flowers. Special thank you to Beth Aaron, Marina Parrenas and Noli Chatto for their lead of the 9-day Novena for the souls and Gloria Penaflorida for helping in the funeral arrangement. We would also like to acknowledge the pallbearers Rogelio Aaron, Jerry Provido, Alex Hubines, Richard Maranon, Gildred Aloro, Nanding Aviles, Nilo Tubongbanua and Romeo Davila. There are no words to express the feeling of losing someone like our dearest Nanay and Lola. We are blessed to have had such a wonderful woman in our lives and lucky to learn from her the meaning of unconditional love. Lamay will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., on Thursday, February 21 from 7:00 p.m. until midnight and on Friday, February 22 from 7:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. The funeral service is on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Church, 818 Arlington. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue. The reception after the funeral is at St. Edwards Parish Hall, 818, Arlington Street.
