ROLF KARL GROTH Suddenly at his residence, Rolf Groth, aged 75 years, beloved husband of the late Elsie Groth passed away. Rolf was born in Austria on February 18, 1932. He was employed at Eatons for 41 years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and lived life to the fullest, staying active right up to his passing. During Elsie's long illness, Rolf provided much love and commitment as her caregiver, as family was most important to him. Left to mourn his passing are his two sons, Edmond and Randal (Beverley) and his sister Judy Goring. A private family service will be held. Interment will be in the family plot in Brookside Cemetery. Rolf was my Chef at Eaton's in 1978. I was his Sous Chef at the time. He was a very good man and taught me so much not only in cooking but also life itself. Today I am 60 years old and remember him, as the best Chef I ever knew. He was kind and talked alot about his family. He was a special man, I will miss him and have missed him for many years. I tried to make contact with him one day by telephone many years back and his son answered the phone. I guess it was not a good time for him to answer. I miss you Rolf, I am so sorry that I found out that you have gone to the lord, so many years after your passing. Please forgive me. You will always be in my heart.
