EARL COCKLE On February 17, Dad passed away peacefully at the Concordia hospital at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth. Left to cherish his memory are his special friend and partner Eva Derby; his daughter Joan Hook; son Gordon as well as all his grandchildren. Earl was born in Cartwright, Manitoba on February 3, 1915 and spent his childhood growing up in Mather, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg at the age of 17 and was pleased to say that Burns hired him the second day that he was in Winnipeg. He worked at Burns for over 40 years, first in Winnipeg and later in Calgary. Earl loved camping in the summer and loved his winter holidays in Hawaii with Eva. The family would like to thank Dr. Mohammed, assistant Evette and the staff on the 3rd floor of the Concordia Hospital for all the care given to Dad. At his request cremation has taken place and no services will be held. If friends so desire a donation in his honour can be made to the charity of your choice.
