WINIFRED RHODA JOYCE PITMAN (nee HISCOCK) Peacefully, with her family by her side, our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Winifred Pitman, passed away on February 15, 2008. She was predeceased by her parents, James Henry and Rosa May Hiscock; her brothers, Edward and James; her husband, Gerald (February 2000) and her son, Gordon (October 2007). Winifred leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her sons, Michael, Mervyn, Ken (Susan) and Donald (Pat); her daughters, Laura Paquin (Raymond) and Joyce Saar (Greg); and her daughter-in-law, Linda (Gordon), as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many family members in her beloved England. Mom was proud of her British heritage, and some of the happiest times of her life were when she and Dad were able to journey back to England to re-unite with her family. We wish to express our gratitude to the nurses and staff of Golden Door Geriatric Centre for the care and concern they showed our Mother. (Henry F. Lyte) A memorial service will he held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Aubrey Street entrance, with Rev. Gregory W.A.
