MINORU NAMBA 1917 - 2008 On February 15, 2008, at 91 years of age, Minoru Namba passed away peacefully at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris. He is survived by his brother Aki (Lil) Namba and sister Eileen (Wally) Suzuki. Children, Linda, Joyce (Lorne), Dan (Paulette), Ron (Jody), Betty (Henry), Lila (Bob), Tim (Kelly), son-in-law Bill, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by wife Sumi, daughter Cindy, his sisters, Grace Namba and Betty Naruse. Min was born in Haney, BC. He married Sumi in 1942 and moved to Dominion City where they raised eight children. Min worked as a mechanic throughout his working life. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and time spent with family and friends. Special thanks to the wonderful caring staff at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris and the Dominion City Home Care. A memorial service will take place in Dominion City, Thursday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dominion City United Church. Inurnment will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Min's memory to the Dominion City United Church, General Delivery, Dominion City, MB R0A 0H0.
