Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIKE (MICHAEL) KOROL November 1, 1933 - February 20, 2008 After a courageous battle with cancer, Mike passed away peacefully with his family at his side. Mike was born in Rossburn, MB. At the age of 17 he came to Winnipeg to work. He worked for Pepsi for 35 years, and retired in 1993. In 1985 he moved to East Selkirk where he resided till his death. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be "deerly" missed by his loving wife Marlene, sons Ken, Stan (Barb), Kevin (Corinne), and Robert; daughters Valerie (Daryl) Gibbons, Cindy Page, Sharon (Art) Hoogstraton; grandchildren Darcy (Kristen), Kruz, Kelly, Ginette (Tyler), Andrew, Carter, Kristen, Daneeka, Dakota, Jacqueline and Shaun and great-granddaughter McKenna; sisters-in-law Margaret Rach and Stella Zimmerman; brothers-in-law Henry Spreen and Gerald Brown; his favorite aunt Ann Hodgkins; his very special buddy Archie Hachkowski; special friends Martin Roback, Jim Thompson, Gerry Beck, Joe Czyrak, Raymond Korol, and Nelson Korol. He was predeceased by his mother Anastasia (Nellie) Korol and his father Marion Korol; brother Joe Zimmerman; sister-in-law Helen Zimmerman; brother-in-law Lorne Rach and in-laws Martin and Ida Spreen. Interment of ashes will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Jack Fish Lake Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at Good Shepard Church, 6088 Hwy. #9 in Selkirk, MB, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Cancer Society or the Heart Stroke Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
