SYLVIO JUDE JOSEPH FILLION Beloved husband to Gilberte (Rémillard), father to Carolle (Réal) Lambert, Louis, Jeanne (David) Hildebrandt, Carmelle (Albert) Giesbrecht, Marc (Ann), Aline (Les) Hildebrandt, grandfather to 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is survived by one brother Yvon (Claire), sisters, Lucille, Fernande (Paul), Florence (Marcel), Anita, Sr. Claire and Sr. Simone. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis-Paul and Marie-Anne Fillion and his sisters, Germaine and Céline. Sylvio was born on April 7, 1940 and passed away peacefully on February 19, 2008 at the DeSalaberry Medical Centre in St-Pierre. Sylvio was a man who loved and lived life to the fullest with his family and friends. He will be missed for his laughter and his great sense of humour. He had many careers such as driving school bus, but his main career was training and racing horses. He will be sadly missed by many in the Harness Racing Industry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the St-Malo Roman Catholic Church. Prayers and viewing at 10:30 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and support. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for him at the Riverview Health Centre, Health Sciences Centre, Ste-Anne's, Morris and St-Pierre Hospitals.
