Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE CAMERON October 11, 1920 - February 20, 2008 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Leslie Cameron in the Victoria Hospital. He was born in Birtle, MB and moved to Winnipeg in 1934. Les loved sports; participating as a welterweight in his late teens, coaching women's softball teams, and enjoying various bowling teams, along with being an avid golfer. During the Second World War, Les joined the R.C.A.F. and served as an airframe mechanic in Ireland and England, returning to Canada for discharge in 1945. He was employed as an autobody mechanic in various companies, retiring from M.P.I.C. as an appraiser. Les will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mabel, Les's daughter Vickie, grandchildren, Zachary and Marlena. Also he will be greatly missed by stepson Kenn Rosin (Dianne), step-grandchildren, Jason (Hailey), Erin (Matt), and Scott. He was predeceased by brothers, David, Jack and Mike along with sisters, Jennie Havercost and Annie Cochrane. The family would like to extend sincerest thanks and gratitude to the staff at Victoria Hospital; particularly Drs. Musamy and Green, as well as Monika Wlodkowska-Bilinska and Cathy Ritchie. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, February 25 at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Dad, you were a man with a smile and strong to the end. Be at peace. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
