KATHLEEN MABEL MCCAW (nee SANDERSON) It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Kathleen McCaw, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at Riverview Health Centre on Friday, February 15, 2008, at the age of 93 years young. Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lynn (Wally) MacMartin and Shelley (Peter) Allen; grandchildren Paul (Kim) and Craig (Shannon Bell) Hebert; Kelly, Shannon (Bob) and Sean Allen; five great-grandchildren; and brother George (Audrey) Evans of Victoria, B.C. Kathleen joined her husband Grant who passed away November 19, 2007, her parents Laura and Wesley Sanderson, brother Bill, and sisters Phyllis and Irene. Mom was born April 25, 1914 in Winnipeg. She and Dad were married November 1, 1939. Kae and Grant resided most of their married life in Charleswood where Mom dedicated her life to her home and family. Mom was a feisty, independent and generous woman (not to mention a tad stubborn) with a great love for her family. Mom will be truly missed. Kae was a member of Charleswood Ladies Curling, Charleswood Senior Ladies Curling and Charleswood Carpet Bowlers. Mom loved cooking, knitting and gardening. Grant and Kae enjoyed traveling extensively to many destinations in Europe and the Caribbean. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. The family would like to thank the caring and thoughtful staff at Luther Home and are truly grateful for the exceptional support of Palliative Care staff for their professional guidance. We couldn't have done it without you . Heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care of Kathleen and her family. If friends so desire, donations in Kae's memory may be made to Palliative Care Program, St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R2H 2A6; or Riverview Health Centre. One Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4. Mother and Daughter Hearts Intertwined. I was her Child, Then she was mine. My hand in her hand Then her hand in mine. Daughter and Mother, Hearts Intertwined.
