Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE MARIE DIDUCK (nee CASTONGUAY) October 25, 1933 February 25, 2008 On Monday, February 25, at the age of 74 with family by her side, the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ peacefully took Mom to her Heavenly Home. She was predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and husband of 54 years Steve, her son Neil and his children Michael and April, her daughter Lynne and her husband Randy and their children Jordan and Stefanie, her sister Marie (Peter), her brother Edmond, her sister Lucy (Tom) and many nieces and nephews. Florence was born in Rosetown, SK, attended school in Biggar, where she met Steve. They were married on September 30, 1953. Together they lived in Saskatoon for 20 years, and moved to Winnipeg in 1973. She retired from the CNR in 1992. In retirement she travelled many places, including Europe, Hawaii and Florida. She was heavily involved in church activities, the St. Maurice School Board, visitation of the shut-ins, eucharistic ministry, a member of the Vincent de Paul Society, and as a sacristan for St. Vital Roman Catholic Church. She also enjoyed her grandchildren's musical and sporting events. Mom made friends with everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face and a friendly word for everyone. She was a very generous, kind and loving woman. Many thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital. Special thanks to Father Morand for his spiritual guidance. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 29 at 10:30 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Dr. Patrick A. Morand officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vital Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florence's memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
