LEONARD SICINSKI July 16, 1945 - February 22, 2008 Suddenly at the age of 62 years, Leonard passed away peacefully with his Wife (Paulette) by his side, in a city he enjoyed. Leonard will be greatly missed by his wife Paulette; sister Marcie and mother-in-law Rita; son Ryan (Jen) and twin granddaughters Coral and Kallie, son Chad (Sharisse) and furry grandchild Minnie; daughter Leah (Sean) and grandchildren Ariana and Riley, daughter Dayna and grandchildren Jesse and Jayme. Leonard will also be deeply missed by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many, many friends, including his South Beach friends. You know who you are. Dad was predeceased by his parents Anne and Walter Strileski, father-in-law John Combot, brother-in-law Murray Foster and a beloved friend Ivan Pearson. Leonard's greatest passion was spending quality time with his soulmate and love of his life Paulette. Dad freely gave himself to others, always putting others first. He got great pleasure out of seeing his loved ones happy and his acts of kindness will forever be remembered. Dad got such joy out of watching and getting to know his grandchildren. Gigi is a title he felt honoured to have, and will be greatly missed. Leonard always had something to say, or a joke to tell. He would always take the time to talk, it didn't matter if you were a stranger or a best friend. Leonard was somebody you could always count on. Dad spent many years building a successful business that he was proud to call P and L Autobody. Dad was proud to have the pleasure of working with his son Chad and his co-workers who in the long run became his great friends. Scott McNaughton, Mark Hadaller and Garth Fleury. He also looked forward to early morning coffee group, Cliff you know who you are. Dad was a wonderful role model, he always taught us to be kind, caring and loyal to others. His life lessons will forever stay with us, and all the lives that he touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk, with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or The Winnipeg Humane Society.
