SUZANNE MARGARET SENDEN (nee BEKAERT) March 13, 1918 February 23, 2008 Peacefully, following a short illness, with her family by her side, Mom went home to the Lord and to be with her husband, Alphonse. Mom will be cherished and sadly missed by her sons, Joseph (Sylvia) and Dennis (Sandra); by her grandchildren, Kathleen, Maureen, Norman (Loree-Anne), Colleen (Raymond), Lee (Teresa), Michal (Lori), Debora (René), Dennis (Kristen) and Ronald (Candace), as well as by 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and by her sister, Madeline. Mom enjoyed her family, especially her family dinner gatherings. She enjoyed her travels with Dad. She loved to knit and crochet. She loved her home and gardening. She could always be seen in the back row at Holy Cross Church every Saturday. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Holy Cross Church, Traverse and Dubuc Street, the Rev. Fr. Lucien Roy presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Cross Food Bank or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
