BETTY VERA HARRIS (nee MCDONELL) Peacefully on February 26, 2008 Betty Harris, 80 years of age, of Winnipeg, MB. Betty is survived by her son Lloyd (Brenda) of Winnipeg and daughter Lynne Kotyluk (Philip) of Golden, BC, and her loving grandchildren, Sarah (Dan), Kevin (Erica), Ian (Misty) and Dan (Terri). She is also survived by her sister Joan Bramwell of Toronto and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Glanville; her parents, Roy and Sarah, and brothers, Arch of Toronto and Guy of Edmonton. Betty was born in Winnipeg, MB on July 2, 1927. She was employed by Hudson's Bay Company, Manufacturer's Life Insurance Company and Manitoba Housing. Mom enjoyed her outings with the Lions Place Adult Day Club on Wednesdays and her yearly trek to Toronto to watch her beloved Toronto Blue Jays in action. She also volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross, manning phones in times of crisis. A funeral will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Thomson Funeral Chapel, Broadway at Furby, commencing at 3:00 p.m. A family interment will take place at a later date. The Rev. Randy Leavitt will be officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. A. Blank, and the staff of GA4 of the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lions Place Adult Day Club, 610 Portage Ave., Winnipeg or to a charity of their choice.
