DORIS ISABEL SULLIVAN (PETER) (nee GOUCHER) 1911 - 2008 Peacefully on February 26, 2008 Doris passed away surrounded by family. Doris is survived by combined families: two sons, one daughter and spouses; two step-daughters, one step-son-in-law; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and one brother. Predeceased by husbands, parents, six siblings, and a step-son-in-law. Doris was born in Brandon on January 8, 1911. She enjoyed being one of the few female streetcar operators due to the war. Whist, bridge, bingo and bowling brought her great pleasure. Doris was a very private person, but whatever came her way she always had a smile for everyone. Special thanks to Poseidon Care Centre, where Doris spent her last six months, especially the fifth floor caregivers and nurses. Funeral service Friday, February 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
