Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE DALE SPENCER Peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at home surrounded by family and friends Leslie passed away at the age of 58 years. Remaining to forever cherish Leslie's memory are her husband Sandy; children Lance (Jennifer), Joelle (Robin); grandson Robin; her mother Doris; sister Janet (Larry) Legrange; brothers Gordon (Gladys) Malinoski, and Reg Malinoski; as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws, foster children, many friends and co-workers and her cat Kaya. She was predeceased by her father Reginald and brother Richard. Born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario to parents Reginald and Domenica Malinoski, Leslie grew up in Winnipeg where she met and married her husband of 39 years Sandy Spencer. They lived in Churchill for a short time before settling in Winnipeg with their two children, Lance and Joelle. Leslie worked for the Hudson Bay Co. and Revenue Canada before her lengthy career with MTS. Leslie was dedicated to her family. She was thrilled with the birth of her first grandson Robin and looking forward to many more. She had many interests. Leslie loved animals, soap opera's, family gatherings, traveling and Spencer-rama 2007. She could often be found playing keno at the Casino with friends and family. On Monday, March 3 Leslie's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street. Very special thanks to Dr. Daenek, Dr. Lamba, Dr. Cesar, the Palliative Care Team (in particular Vicki, Chris and Mark), Jennifer Spencer and to Scott from Tache Pharmacy, for making Mom's journey a little easier. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leslie's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
