EDWIN WALESIAK Edwin Walesiak, beloved husband of Helen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2008. Edwin was born on August 5, 1932. He married Helen in 1958 and together, they farmed in Brightstone. Over the years, he worked at Moss Spur and for the LGD of Pinawa. He retired from farming in the fall of 2001 and moved to Lac du Bonnet. Edwin enjoyed music and loved to dance the polka. Visits at his house centered around playing cards, watching wrestling and listening to Polka Party . Animals held a special place in Edwin's heart and in his retirement became his family. Edwin is survived by his wife of 49½ years Helen, sister Gladys Kirby, brothers Arthur (Trudy), Erwin (Lucille) and Lenard (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Alexander and Katherine, sister Janet, brother-in-law Steve and sister-in-law Eileen. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour with interment following at the Lac du Bonnet municipal cemetery. Friends may view on Monday, March 3 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Helen wishes to thank Dr. Zeiler and the staff at Beausejour Hospital with special thanks to Loretta Scott.
