DENIS JOSEPH GODARD It is with great sadness that Jackie and Danielle announce the passing of Denis Godard on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 62. Denis was born July 21, 1945, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents Florence and Alfred Godard. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jackie, cherished daughter Danielle, and brother Paul. Denis had many interests and an entrepreneurial spirit. He operated Homefree Management for a number of years, was instrumental in the success of The Claims Network, and from 1999 to 2006 assisted in the operation of The Second Cup in St. Vital Centre along with his wife. Denis loved life. He could connect with people with ease and had a contagious laugh. He loved to travel and lived life with a sense of adventure. His greatest joy was anything involving his partner in crime, Danielle. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating Denis' life will be held on Monday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Dr. Father Patrick Morand officiating. Jackie and Danielle would like to give special thanks to Dr. Fayed Salem, and the staff of the intensive care unit at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion and dedication to making Denis comfortable.
