ANGELINA MARIA KNABB (CANCILLA)
Date of Passing: Mar 01, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELINA MARIA KNABB (nee CANCILLA) It is with great sadness that I have to announce the peaceful passing of my mother Angelina Maria Knabb on March 1, 2008 just shy of her 88th birthday. Angelina bore her long time illness with great bravery, grace, humor and wit. Never once complaining and yet always managing her great smile and a laugh to all those who visited her. My mother will always be remembered for her humility, putting others first, her unfailing sense of fair play and unwavering love and devotion to her family, along with her now famous deep dish apple pie. Predeceased by my younger brother Lawrence Michael in 1991, she will be greatly missed by those of us left behind. Not only have I lost a mother, but also a great friend and supporter of all that life has passed my way. I would like to extend a special thanks to the many caring supporters, nurses and staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for being exceptionally helpful, loving and kind. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment to follow. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Angelina's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. I love you Mom Your son Fred and Family. CHAPEL LAWN 885 - 9715

Angie, you were an especially good mother. When your marriage broke up, you took a job as housekeeper for a farmer in Calgary so you could be with your sons. I know they had a great experience there. And how you loved your "Jackie" You used to say "We are Buds" and she had to have tea or coffee that you purposely left in your cup for her. There were so many things I could talk about ! But, know that everyone whose paths you crossed will be left with an unfillable void. With great sympathy and love, your niece, Anita - Posted by: Anita Clancy (Family) on: Mar 03, 2008
