VERNON WILFRED DINGLE 1923 - 2008 Peacefully, on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Grace General Hospital after a lengthy illness Vernon passed away. He was predeceased by parents Stanley and Laura, and brothers Donald and Albert. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Karen (Les) of Portage La Prairie, Lynn (Gary) of Ottawa, and son Gary (Colleen) of Winnipeg, grandchildren Troy, Amanda, Kyle, Brandy, Megan, Caitlin, Matthew and great-grandchild Hailey. After attending the University of Toronto and the University of Manitoba, Vern attained a Masters in Science. He chose to pursue a profession at Environment Canada as a meteorologist. Vern worked at Environment Canada for over 30 years until his retirement in 1987. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
