RANDALL NEVILLE MCCLINTOCK On Monday, March 3, 2008 at 8:20 a.m., never late for anything, Randy McClintock a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away from a brief but well fought battle with a very rare blood disorder. Dad spent his final three months being visited by friends and relatives; his wife and children remained by his side until he took his final journey. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Julie, children Darren, Tracy, Curtis (Tammy), and Bev (Wayne Coulter); his greatly loved grandchildren Dale and Jamie; Bryce, Kyle, Blake McClintock, Chelsey and Marley Coulter and Jackson Mollard. Randy is also survived by his brother, William (Carol) McClintock; sisters Vi Dobson, Jessie McClintick, Pearl Laing, Hazel Andrews and Brenda (Ben) Dyck, mother-in-law, Anne Gregorchuk, in-laws Dave (Verna), Boris (Gloria), Elmer (Myrna) Gregorchuk and many nieces and nephews. Randy was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Muriel McClintock, brothers Elgin and Gordy, sisters Eva Finnen, Wilma Cameron, Marlene Enns and father-in-law, Metro Gregorchuk. Randy was born September 20, 1941 and lived a happy and adventurous life in the Pembina Crossing before moving to Winnipeg where he met and married Julian Francis Gregorchuk on November 5, 1960. Dad Bumpa was very proud of his children and grandchildren and was always patient and supportive. He shared with them his passion - his favorite saying I've quit better jobs to go hunting and fishing! There were trips to LaRiviere for the big buck and many fishing adventures shared at Kissinew Lake in northern Manitoba. Randy spent his entire lifetime trying to master all trades there wasn't anything he wouldn't tackle: electrical, carpentry or construction. In 1966 he began driving long-haul for Reimer Express Lines and Kingsway Transport; for a break from the highway he hauled logs for the pulp and paper industry near The Pas. In the last few years he worked for Water Resources in Grosse Isle, MB. After living in Stonewall for over thirty-five years Randy and Julie moved last September to Pilot Mound to be near his beloved Pembina Crossing. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Desmond and staff of the Lorne Memorial Hospital and Dr. Foreaster and the 5th floor staff at St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg. A celebration of his life will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall, MB on Thursday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Don McIntyre will be officiating. A service and internment will follow Friday, March 7, 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Valley Church at Pembina Crossing, Chris Lea officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randy's memory to Hide for Habitat or Winnipeg Blood Services. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
