RUSSELL BLAKE WAY Russell Blake Way beloved son of Larry and Gloria, brother to Deanna, Jeff ( Tashia), uncle to Shaleigh, and grandson of Lenore Day passed away February 20, 2008 in Brandon. He is predeceased by grandparents Roy and Margaret Way and Russell Day. Blake was born October 29, 1975 in Wawanesa. He received his education in Ninette, Killarney and Souris - attended ACC graduating in 1994 with a Heavy Duty Electronics Certificate. His greater love of automobiles saw Blake pursue his Motor Mechanics License. This trade provided him with the opportunity to travel - working in dealerships in Killarney, Melita, Brandon, Lloydminster and Red Deer. Although diagnosed with Diabetes at 16 months of age - nothing stopped Blake from participating in sports with his buddies. He had fond memories of time spent with team mates from Ninette, Wawanesa, Killarney, AAA Southwest Cougars (Souris) and Brandon Stingers. Blake will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of animals and his bonds of friendship. A celebration of Blake's life was held at the Wawanesa Community Hall, February 26 with Rev. Beth Clark officiating. Interment took place in the Ninette Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Blake's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association (727B-10th St. Brandon R7A 4G7) or the Dialysis Unit of the Brandon Regional Health Foundation (150 McTavish Ave. Brandon R7A 2B3).
