STELLA KOLISNYK 1919 - 2008 Peacefully on March 5, 2008, Stella Kolisnyk died at Kildonan Personal Care Home. She is lovingly remembered by her son Lorne Kolisnyk (Tanis) of Winnipeg, and daughter Leslie Nolke of Calgary; grandchildren, Nick (Sarah), Laura, Jennifer, Dale, Sharon (Ulrik), Barry; great-grandchildren, Ben and Eve. Stella Kolisnyk (nee Storozuk), was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 23, 1919 to Walter Storozuk and Irene Pankow. She grew up in the Elmwood area and was the youngest of her siblings: Olga Warrenchuk, Lena Kendel, Ann Boyko and Joseph Storozuk. Stella was predeceased by Lawrence, her loving husband of 66 years, on July 8, 2007. Stella enjoyed working at Eaton's Department Store, socializing and playing cards with friends and family, square dancing, and participating in Aquasizes at the Concordia / Kildonan Pool. She enjoyed her many trips to Vancouver, Calgary, Cuba and summertime in Gimli. Above all, Mom enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her pride in all of us will carry us through. Stella's family extends thanks and gratitude to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care home for their kindness and care shown to Mom over the past four years.
