D. PATRICIA KNOWLES (nee SHINGLETON) Peacefully on March 4, 2008, Pat passed away at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg at the age of 86 years. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Jack, her brother Jack Shingleton and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg attending school at Ralph Brown and St. John's High School. She met Jack in 1946 and they were married on June 25, 1949. Pat spent all of her working years at Marshall Wells retiring in 1984. Pat had many interests and hobbies: gardening, knitting, traveling and walking miles around the neighbourhood just to name a few. She was a lifetime member of the General Sir Sam Steele Legion Ladies Auxilliary and the Winnipeg Gladiolus and Dahlia Society. Her love of animals was well known, especially the feline variety. Pat was a generous, caring and gentle person who touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their kind and compassionate care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Road, West St. Paul, MB, R4A 4A6 or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place.
