RON MOLOSKI Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Ron Moloski passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. At his side was his beloved wife Maxine, their daughters, Glenda (Gary) Hutchinson and Sheri (Ralph Mertes). Ron was a very devoted grandfather to Geoff, Mandy (Nathan) Shoults, and great-grandson Tyler. His days consisted of walking his faithful companion, Oreo, washing his car and bargain hunting. He spent many hours shopping at his favourite grocery stores and entertaining the cashiers. In the early 1950s Ron and Maxine opened their grocery store, called Ron's Groceteria in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. This led to a lengthy career as store manager at Safeway, Loblaws and Dominion Stores in Brandon, Portage and finally Winnipeg. In 1964, Ron moved all of his grocery store talents to work with the Federal Government as a retail store inspector. He spent 27 years with the Federal Government before retiring in 1991. This was when Ron spent his time gardening and enjoying the beautiful yard that he was so proud of. The last six years Ron and Maxine have spent living in the Lions Manor on Worthington Avenue. Ron served overseas in England during the Second World War and recently received his 60 year pin with the Royal Canadian Legion. He was predeceased by his brother Harvey who passed away during the Second World War, his parents, Tom and Rose Moloski and his sister Loreen Longstreet. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Rev. Susan and Russell from the St. Mary's United Church officiating. A private interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Everyone is welcome to stay for coffee and a light lunch after the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing can donate in memory of Ron to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Ron's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nursing staff on the 5th and 6th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital for taking such good care of all of us. We would also like to thank Dr. Moltzan for her many years of special care that she provided. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
