WILLARD (BILL) PICKERING 1933-2008 On Wednesday, March 5, 2008, Willard Pickering, beloved husband of Mary and beloved father of Colin James, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at age 74 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Mary; son Colin James; sisters Gloria Pretty of Hamilton, ON and Joyce Alick of Kirkland Lake, ON. Bill was born in Cobalt, ON, son of Mabel and Jack Pickering, raised and grew up in nearby Kirkland Lake, ON. He was a noted hockey player in the IHL with the Toledo Blades and the Fort Wayne Komets. Bill had worked at several jobs but will be remembered as a long time employee at Mine Equipment Inc./Wajax. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Service to conclude in the chapel with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
