Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKONSTANTINA (DINA) NIKITAS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother on Friday, March 7, 2008. Dina will be greatly missed by her husband of 60 years, Angelo. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Parry (Eleni), Helen (Angelo), Angie (Scott); her grandchildren, Tina (Taras), Anna, Angelo, Stella, John, Jennifer, Kevin and Katelyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dina was predeceased by her parents, Angela and Theodore; her brothers, Nikos and Panagos, and her sisters, Paraskevi, Georgia and Froso. Dina was born on January 5, 1925 in Skoura, Sparti, Greece. After marrying Angelo and starting a family, she immigrated to Winnipeg in 1966 in order to provide a better life for her family. Dina was employed with Tan Jay from 1966 through to 1984, where she made many friends during that time. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home who provided Dina with compassion and care during the seven years she spent there. A special thank you to Linda and Sophie for all that they have done. Prayers will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn. Pallbearers will be Angelo Nikitas, Kevin Clarke, Giorgo Kodalonis, Pano Kodalonis, Nick Verras and Brian Locken. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends desire donations in Dina's memory can be made to the Manitoba Alzheimer's Society or the Manitoba Hellenic Cultural Centre.
