Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAVLO (PAUL) MAKSYMIW With great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Pavlo Maksymiw in Toronto on March 6, 2008. Born March 16, 1924 in Baluczyn, Ukraine, Pavlo settled in Winnipeg in 1949 after the turmoil of the Second World War. Pavlo was predeceased by his wife, Stefania; sister, Viktoria and brothers, Andrij, Vasyl (Ukraine). He leaves to mourn his daughter Nadia, son-in-law Andrew and grandson Andrijko of Toronto; sisters, Olha, Stefania and Ivanna and brother Mykola with families in Ukraine; as well as numerous cousins and family in Winnipeg. Pavlo was a deeply religious man that was a devoted member of St. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral and equally completely devoted to his homeland, Ukraine. In 2003 after the passing of his wife, Stefania, Pavlo moved to Toronto to be with his daughter and son-in-law. A wonderful father, a kind and gentle man that gave totally, continuously and absolutely selflessly to his family. To his baby grandson, Andrijko, he could not contain his joy, whom he kissed and held and loved with his total being. Pavlo was greatly loved and cherished and will be desperately missed. May the lord grant you eternal peace you have more than earned it. We will honor your memory and example with all our love.
