MYRTLE IRENE (MICKEY) BULL (nee RYAN) Peacefully, on Thursday March 6, 2008 in the Grace Hospital at the age of 81 years. Born January 24, 1927 in Biggar, Saskatchewan to Edith Margery (nee Costain) and Armand Stanley Ryan. At age five, the family moved to Winnipeg where she attended schools at Isbister, John M. King, General Wolf and Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute. Prior to marriage, Mickey worked for British American Oil Ltd. and Trans Canada Airlines in Winnipeg and Montreal. Mickey and Wilfred were married in 1952 and Mickey worked for B.F. Goodrich Co. Ltd. In 1957 they were posted to #4 ATAF NORAD in Trier, Germany. When #4 ATAF was disbanded in 1958 they were transferred to #3 Fighter Wing at Zweibrucken, Germany returning to a posting at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in 1960. While posted to St. Hubert, Quebec, Mickey entered the Public Service and worked in Air Defence Command Headquarters retiring from the Public Service in 1987 from Air Command Headquarters, Winnipeg. Mickey is survived by nephew Thomas Bull and wife Betty of Greely, Ontario and niece Darlene Lisqum and husband Ron of Gananoque, nephew Michael Lavigne, their children and grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, on Tuesday March 11, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. with interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
