STEPHEN STEPANIUK Steve Stepaniuk, passed away at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour on March 7, 2008. He will be lovingly remembered by his family; his wife Lorene of 60 years; children, Garry, Janet and Garth. Grandchildren, Shannon, Bradley, Reid, Hunter, Riley and Zak. Great-grandchild Jayden; his sister Bertha Novak and nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased his father Nicholas, mother Pearl, brothers; Michael, Peter and Paul. Steve was born on September 11, 1915 residing in Beausejour all his life. His trucking business, S.B. Transfer, granted him his love of the open highways and every trip across Can/USA was an adventure. Steve was a hard-working man who never really hung up his tools and a free spirit who took the time to admire a flaming sunset or pick a bouquet of wild flowers. He enjoyed the symphony and loved to sing and in his later years, recited poetry he learned in his youth. Special thanks to Dr. Zeiler, staff of East Gate Lodge and Beausejour Hospital who tenderly cared for Steve. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering is planned. In lieu of flowers, friends so desiring, may make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Society or to a Wildlife organization.
