SIGRID-ANNE HOULE (nee SIGURDSON) With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother, Sigrid-Anne Houle, at age 61 on Sunday March 9, 2008 at St. Boniface Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by husband Serge; daughters, Dawn Hood and April Houle; her brothers, John Sigurdson (Phoebe) of Edmonton, Matt Sigurdson (Joyce) and sister Sharon August (Jim) of Winnipeg, as well as numerous extended family and friends. Her parents Sveinbjorn and Inga Sigurdson; brother Stefan Sigurdson, and son Richard Houle predeceased her. Sigrid was born in Gimli, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at a young age. She attended Centennial Elementary and Edmund Partridge. In her 20s, she had met the man she was going to marry and together they raised two daughters. Sigrid faced many health challenges through life but faced each challenge with the greatest of courage and strength. She offered a warm smile to each person she met and her passion for singing carries on in our hearts. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave. in the Worship Centre. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Ash interment will follow the luncheon at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Riverview for all of their years of care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview or a charity of your choice in memory of Sigrid. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
