(GERT) GRAY After living with Alzheimers for many years Mom, at 91 years old, passed away quietly at Golden West Centennial Lodge with her extended family at her side on March 10, 2008. Gert was predeceased by her husband Jack (of 66 years), her daughter Earlis Wright, and son-in-law Edward Zaleski. Gert is survived by son Wayne (Ruth), daughter Karen Zaleski, son-in-law Douglas Wright, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mom graduated as a registered nurse from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1938. She had many nursing jobs until her retirement in 1981. Gert loved Winnipeg and lived her entire adult life here after growing up in the Baldur / Glenboro area. She and Jack enjoyed travelling and their cottage at West Hawk Lake. The family wishes to thank all the marvelous caregivers at Golden West as her extended family have made the last 10 years a caring and comfortable time for her and her family.
