LESLIE ALFRED WAYNE SMITH November 1, 1942 - March 9, 2008 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leslie Alfred Wayne Smith of Toronto, Ontario, formerly of Winnipeg on March 9, 2008 at the age of 65 years. Les leaves to remember him, his sons Wayne, Vernon, Patrick and their families; his sister, Delores Anderson; his brothers, Errol (Smitty), Graham (Ada) and George (Dale); also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Les was predeceased by his parents Alex and Mildred Smith; sisters, Betty, Velma, Ruth, Beverly, Fern and Lillian; brothers, Jim, Edwin and Harold. Les was born in Selkirk and lived his younger years in Victoria Beach. He was a bricklayer by trade and worked in Winnipeg, Revelstoke, Kelowna and Golden, B.C. His last years were spent in Toronto, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with interment in the Balsam Bay Cemetery.
