MARLENE LILLIAN CAMPBELL (nee FLOCK) It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister Marlene, after a noble battle with illness, just short of her seventy-sixth year on March 9, 2008. Marlene was a loving wife for 51 years to Roy, mother of Debbie (Kevin) and Kevin (Lisa and family) and grandmother to Keith (Krissy) and Allyson. You knew spring wasn't too far off when Marlene started leafing through her seed catalogs, and had the kitchen full of seedlings. She looked forward to spring and summer tending to her gardens. After they had both retired, Mom and Dad took several trips and she was proud that she had been coast to coast by car. If there was ever a question as to where they were and what they saw, mother would just pull out her trip diary because it was all there. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Anna Flock, and is survived by her brother Bob (Judy) and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to Dr. N. Hechenthal and the staff on the 5th floor at Seven Oaks Hospital. At Marlene's request no funeral will take place. Burial arrangements are pending for the spring. The family gratefully declines flowers, and requests that instead a donation be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, CancerCare, MB or a charity of one's choice in Marlene's memory.
