CAROL JOHNSON January 26, 1943 - March 12, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce that on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 Carol Johnson passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side. Carol will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years Donald Johnson, daughter Cheryl Newman, grandchildren Ashley and Daniel, and son and daughter-in-law Brian and Michelle Johnson (Scottsdale, Arizona), grandchildren Justin and Chantel. She leaves behind her aunts, cousins, in-laws and very dear long time friends. She was predeceased by her mother Helen Jenkins in 1989. Carol, a dedicated and loving wife, Mom, Grandma and friend was always there when you needed her. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren and she cherished the time she spent with her family. She will forever be in our hearts and our memories. The family wishes to thank Doctors Yaffee, Krahn and Butler. Also Teres, Bonnie, Irene, and the staff at CancerCare and St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Hwy #1 at Navin Road with a reception to follow. Interment will be at Transcona Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Carol's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9 or charity of your choice.
