DOROTHY JEAN SHAPIRO April 12, 1942 - March 11, 2008 Mom passed away peacefully with family and friends at her bedside after a lengthy battle with Emphysema. Mom is survived by her husband Larry, of 46 years; sons, Allan (Tricia), Aron (Barb); daughters, Judy, Joy Watts (Cory); the joys of mom's life, her grandchildren, Zachary and Rebecca, Kayley and Emma, Joshua. Mom is also survived by sister Lotus Savage, brothers, Don McKenna (Judy), Bill Hicks (Louise), Danny, sister-in-law Margaret McKenna, brother-in-law Alvin Shapiro (Susan). Mom was predeceased by her parents Ida and Archibald McKenna, siblings, Bob and Ron McKenna. Mom is also remembered by many family and friends, especially dear friend Margaret Friesen. Mom was born in Nova Scotia, and later moved to Montreal where she met and married our dad Larry. Our family settled in Winnipeg in 1977. Mom made many friends while working at Boeing. Special thanks to Riverview Health Centre and to Mom's doctors for their many years of care. A private family service was held. Flowers gratefully declined. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
