Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER LIBICH June 18, 1936 - March 8, 2008 It's with extreme shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Libich while on vacation in Argentina with his wife of 48 years, Ann. Peter was predeceased by his father Mike and mother Eva. He leaves to mourn his wife Ann (Jamaga), two sons, Ken (Karen), his very special grandsons Sheldon (10) and Randy (8) and Mark (girlfriend Maria); brothers John (Irene), Steven (Maxine), Donny (Jane) and sister Evelyn (Bert). Also mourning his passing are many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Peter grew up on his parents' farm just east of Libau. He worked on his parents' farm, the M.S. Kenora, Gypsum and Alpine Drywall and then started his own business, P.L. Enterprises . He loved farming, traveling, camping, fishing, hunting and playing cards. As the years passed Peter found himself missing the farming life. Peter and Ann purchased a parcel of land just outside of Libau and built their dream retirement home. Peter's idea of retirement was to continue growing grains and raising cattle. How he loved to tinker in his large shop. He could be seen beaming with pride as he would show everyone the newest saw mill that he designed and built. Peter looked forward to the weekends when his grandchildren would come to the farm. Peter always lived his life to the fullest and no one ever knew what he was up to next. He was always full of surprises. He left this world the way he lived, doing what he really enjoyed and surprising us all. Words cannot explain how much you'll be missed. We all love you with all of our hearts. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with Fr. Jerry Talarski officiating. Interment will follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, Manitoba, are in care of arrangements.

I wish I knew. He meant a lot to me. Peter was a quiet yet thoughtful man. I'll never forget and always remember our polka. - Posted by: Jenny (Friend ) on: Oct 26, 2013
