WILLIAM MAXWELL MCMILLAN Peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the age of 88, Max passed away at the Emerson Personal Care Home. Max is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter Lee (Bryce) Chubaty of Emerson, MB; sons, Lorne (Lorie) of Oakland, Maine and Grant (Connie) of Brandon, MB; grandchildren, Gail, Wayne (Shari) Chubaty, David and Kristina McMillan; great-grandchildren, Jamie and Emmalee. Max was born January 20, 1920 in Miami, MB. and lived the majority of his life in the area. He served in the RCAF from 1941 1945. He returned to Miami, married Margaret Schick and farmed in the district. Max also was a school bus driver, electrician and involved in many community activities. After many enjoyable retirement years of travelling they moved to Emerson in 2004. Max is predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary, brother Lorne and sisters, Deane Harlow and Donna Bruce. The family would like to thank the staff of the Emerson Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held at the Miami United Church, on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Allison Halstead officiating. Interment will take place in the Miami Cemetery.
