WILLIAM (BILL) GERHARD FOLEY Born February 24, 1924 at Grahamdale, MB, passed away March 16, 2008, Lloydminster, AB. Bill is survived by his four daughters: Dixie Marchuk of Lang, SK, Vicki Page of Medicine Hat, AB, Crystal Bilkowski of Sparwood, BC, Valerie Foley of Edmonton, AB and one son Shane Foley of Edmonton, AB, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many cousins. Bill was predeceased by his father William Sr. in 1980, mother Helene in 1984, brother Eugene in 1985, twin brother Victor in 2002, daughter Twila Helen LáVonne in 1952, sons, Dallas Albert Eugene in 1955, Kenneth William in 1962, Rockland William James in 1979, stepsons, Kirt Douglas in 1982, Wayne Ernest Fleming in 1997, granddaughter Tila Rose Marchuk in 1970, grandson Ty Lawrence James Fleming in 2001, wives, Dorothy Rose in 1983, Karen Marie in 1999 and special lady Gertrude Mae in 1986. Bill Foley led a very full life, which included farming, rodeoing with the Calgary Stampede, goaltending for the Winnipeg Monarchs in the 1950s and wrestling with the first club in Winnipeg, out of the Royal Host Boxing Club. He moved to Lloydminster with Gertie in 1961. He worked in the oil patch and then went back to what he enjoyed most, the bar business. He worked at the Alberta and the P.C. until retiring. He moved into the Pioneer Lodge after losing his wife Karen in 1999, and resided there till this time. There he met a great lady friend, Marjorie Thompson, who will miss him as much as we will.
