Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ROBERT COURCHENE BROWN BUFFALO MAN (OZAWEE - SCHOTAY - PIGSKY) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother, William Robert Courchene, on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the age of 55 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 25 years, Lillian; his children, Evelyn (Shawn), Melanie (fiancé Tom), Carolyn (fiancé Mark), Talia (friend Ryan), Eden, Nicholas, William Jr. and Amy; siblings, Fred, Norman, Allan, Wilfred, Randy, Larry, Clifford, Joanie, Beverley, Cynthia, David, Dennis, Eileen, Jerry and Norman P. Bruyere and mother-in-law Dora Guimond. He was predeceased by his parents Dora and Raymond Courchene and his father-in-law Joe H. Guimond. He will be remembered by his many friends and relatives, especially his special friend Scanner John ; his grandchildren, Cameron, Tristan, Gracie and Emily; special niece and nephew, Aleyeh and Lyndon, and special godson Garrette Courchene. William was born on March 19, 1952 and attended the Fort Alexander Indian Residential School at the age of four. He completed his grade school and went on to graduate from high school in Alberta. He went on to complete his certificate in Civil Engineering at Red River Community College. He was a gifted wood carver. Also excelling in martial arts, especially kick boxing. As well, he loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar with his buddies. We would like to acknowledge the R.C.M.P., Randy, Chantal, Brad, Band Constable Susan and the paramedics, John and Rodney of North Eastman Ambulance Service who worked so very hard in trying to revive William. Wake services will began March 17 at the Fort Alexander Roman Catholic Church with the funeral service to be held on Thursday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. also at the church. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Randy Courchene, Larry Courchene, godson Garrette Courchene, friend Scanner Martonoski, Collin Courchene, David Fontaine, Leonard Fontaine and Kirk Guimond.
