WADE JONES Suddenly on March 14, 2008, Wade Jones left this world to walk with the Creator. Wade attended the University of Manitoba in the early 1960s where he met his good friend and colleague Luther Pokrandt. Wade would return to the University of Manitoba once more in the late 1980s to graduate with a degree in Fine Arts, after living on the west coast. Wade was a brilliant artist; one of his favourite commissions was to carve totem poles in the Japanese city of Abashiri. Wade was an accomplished jewellery maker, sculptor and painter. Wade loved life and he had many friends and relatives, both two legged and four legged. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time. Sadly the world has lost a truly talented and fascinating person. Wade is survived by his wife Deborah Manitopyes and his daughter Amanda Jones. Wade, I've never met anyone like you. Eternally yours till we meet again. Love Deborah. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Wade was a great friend and truly accomplished artist. Although we lost track of each other many years ago, I have thought of him often over the years and was greatly saddened to learn of his passing. The world is a lesser place without him. - Posted by: Dorine Cooper (friend from art school (60s)) on: Sep 20, 2013
