She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Hing, daughters, Nancy (Jim), Helen (Bruce), and son, Calvin (Ranso) and grandchildren, Kristen, Jasmine, Taylor, Brooke, and Quinn. She was predeceased by her father, Tin Yum, mother, Sitou Kwai and brother, Chang Shing. Mom was born on March 10, 1940 in Canton, China. She moved to Winnipeg in 1960, married dad and immediately started a family. Mom was a dedicated and hardworking individual. She took care of everything and everyone. Mom was strong, but dad was her pillar. Their relationship was sweet and giving. Even hospital staff dubbed them, The Honeymooners , as dad never left her side. Mom took great pride in her cooking, especially her dim sum and her soups. She enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends and no one ever left hungry or empty-handed. Mom had a large network of friends, and she valued each and every relationship. To her, wealth was not measured by the dollars you made, but by the friendships you gained. Mom's greatest love was her family and always put them ahead of herself, even in her final days. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Mom was proud of all of our accomplishments as she sacrificed so much in order for us to achieve them. We are eternally grateful to you, mom. Rest in peace. Oy nay mama . Viewing will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street.
