GERALD A. LIBLING Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Gerald Libling passed away peacefully on March 18, 2008, at Sherman Hospice, following a courageous battle with leukemia. He is survived by Reisa, his devoted wife of 53 years, son Marty (Julia), daughter Michele (Leslie), and his grandchildren Katie and Adam, whom he adored. Gerald was born December 30, 1930, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Betty and his brother Hugh. Gerald grew up in the north end of Winnipeg and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Manitoba at the age of 21. He was an award-winning architect and developer, well known and highly respected for his work throughout Canada and the United States. Gerald was passionate about his family. His interests included golf, cars, classical music, and the never-ending quest for knowledge. Reisa and Gerald retired to Phoenix, Arizona in 1992, where they enjoyed an active lifestyle and a large circle of friends and family. They look forward to spending their summer months in Winnipeg. Funeral services were held March 20 at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Phoenix. Donations in Gerald's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
