WINNIFRED PETTIPAS (AYRES) (nee GILES) On Sunday morning, March 16, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre our Mom, Wynne Pettipas passed away (predeceased by Joseph Douglas Pettipas). Today she will have met her Lord and Saviour and reacquainted with family and the love of her life . Mom is survived by her daughters Sandy and Cheryl, honourary daughter Sandy McConachy, grandchildren Ryan and Breanne (Pat), Cindy (Paul), Kelly (Jeff) and Jennifer (Dave), and great-grandchildren Brittany, Joshua, Madison and Taylor. Mom was born on September 22, 1922. She grew up in St. Vital (Worthington Ave.) and often talked about how much fun her younger days were. They had no money, but with lots of love and laughter! Mom loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy! The younger kids were always colouring new pictures to grace the walls of her room at Riverview. Mom's last job (before retirement) was as a Nurses Aid so it was difficult for her to be in the position of patient rather than care giver. Mom's health care workers got to know her personality and treated her with love and care. We thank them for that. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Flowers are graciously declined; if you wish, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre or a charity of your choice.
