HERBERT (HERB) TOBER April 8, 1930 March 16, 2008 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of our husband, father, and Opa on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Herb's memory are his wife Irmgard Tober (Burdorf), of 52 years of marriage; children, Sylvia Tober (Wolfgang) of Winnipeg and Karen Ressing of Kenora, Ontario; grandchildren Robert Tober, Justin, Kayla, and Lisa Ressing; as well as his brother Robert; and sisters, Hilda and Edeltraut of Cleveland, Ohio, brother Oskar of Sudbury, Ontario and brother Adolf of Winnipeg. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Amanda Tober. Herb worked at Swifts in Winnipeg for 24 years then at Burns where he retired in 1995. He enjoyed playing Skat and was a member of the German Society Skat Club. As per the family's request no funeral service will be held. The family would like to thank E.M.S. First Responders for their special care and the team at the ER and I.C.U. of the St. Boniface General Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined. Ruhe Sanft
